In certain cases, cameras will not appear in the discovery pane of the Oncam Camera Configuration Tool(CCT). This may be due to the User Account Control(UAC) not allowing the LinkLocal.exe to run on a PC because of restricted permissions.
RESOLUTION METHOD 1
1. Set laptop NIC to DHCP.
2. Disable the Link Local in the Oncam CCT by toggling it to the OFF position.
3. Click YES when the UAC prompt pops up.
4. If camera is still not discovered, perform a factory reset via button press. (How to factory reset camera via button press).
5. After camera is reset, retry discovery.
RESOLUTION METHOD 2
1. Right click on Ethernet adapter connected to the camera network and select Properties.
2. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
3. Select Properties. Select “Use the following IP address”. Enter IP address 169.254.100.100/Subnet 255.255.0.0.
4. Select Advanced.
5. Select Add.
6. Enter an ip address in the range of what the camera will be configured to. If camera is going to be configured at 192.168.1.20 then set the IP address in this field to e.g. 192.168.1.101 with the subnet of 255.255.255.0. This will allow the camera to be discovered in the CCT after the static IP address configuration is complete.

Return to Oncam CCT.
Switch Link Local toggle to OFF.
Refresh Discovery in the Oncam CCT.
