You just configured the static IP address of the camera and refresh the discovery window in the Oncam Camera Configuration Tool (CCT) to find out that the camera didn't save the IP address, or so it appears. If you look at the top right of the tool, there is a Link Local toggle that can be switched on or off. See image below. If the Link Local is set to ON then this assigns a 169.254.xx.xx address to your PC's NIC adapter to discover the camera at it's Link Local 169.254.xx.xx IP address.
To resolve this issue, go to your PC's Network Connections and make sure that the IP address of your ethernet adapter is in the same range as the camera's newly assigned static address. For example, if the camera was assigned a static IP of 192.168.1.30 | 255.255.255.0, then set your ethernet adapter IP to something like 192.168.1.201 | 255.255.255.0. Go back to the Oncam CCT and switch the Link Local toggle OFF. By doing this, the tool now will reference the static IP address of your NIC @ 192.168.1.30 to find any cameras in that same range.
