Where recording is referred to in the Camera Web Interface, it refers to recording directly onto the camera's SD card, also known as Local Recording or Edge Recording.
Up to 2 media profile streams can be recorded at once. The recording is dependent on the configuration of the media profile. Recording can include video, audio (Plus version of camera required) or metadata streams.
Recordings and the related configuration are created and stored on the SD card as a pair. Deleting a Recording Configuration also deletes the associated recorded video files.
The camera supports a microSD card, minimum Class 10 up to 512GB.
The card will need to be formatted to FAT32 before it can be used. To format the card using the Camera Web Interface, go to Recording > Storage Devices
Once the MicroSD card is inserted, it will be shown as below under the name column and inform you that the card is detected but requires formatting. Select the Format microSD card button on the right.
The following warning pop up message will be displayed, if you are happy to proceed select Apply
A notification message will be displayed in the bottom left-hand corner confirming the card is being formatted.
Once successfully formatted the available space on the SD card will be displayed. You may need to refresh the page to see this update. Key information about the capacity of the card will be displayed in the table under storage devices, accessible via Recording > Storage Devices, this includes total capacity and available space. This information is updated when the web page is refreshed.
