FAQ for C-Series: Why Doesn't My Camera Factory Reset After Pressing the Reset Button?

If you're experiencing issues with your Oncam C-Series camera and need to reset it to factory settings, follow the correct reset procedure outlined below. 

Correct Factory Reset Procedure

  1. Locate the Reset Button:

    • The gray reset button is on the bottom right-hand side of the camera module.
    • Use a pointed object (e.g., a ballpoint pen) to press the button.

  2. Press and Hold the Reset Button:

    • Release during → Flashing Blue → No change
    • Release during → Flashing Red → Factory reset (except IP settings)
    • Release during → Solid Red → Full factory reset (all settings erased)
    • Release after    → Solid Red → Camera reboots

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Ensure the camera is powered on while performing the reset.
  • If the reset doesn't work, try again, ensuring the correct timing.
  • If problems persist, contact Oncam Support for further assistance.
