There are three 3 ways to perform a factory reset on the Evolution 180
1 - HARD RESET
Note: All configuration setting saved to camera will be lost when a hard Factory reset is applied
Outdoor model:
2 - SOFT RESET
Note: There is an option to retain IP settings when applying a soft reset, but all other configuration settings saved to the camera will be lost
3 - Using the Configuration Tool
Note: All configuration setting saved to camera will be lost when a factoryreset.cgi command is applied

1 - HARD RESET
Note: All configuration setting saved to camera will be lost when a hard Factory reset is applied
- Make sure the camera is plugged in via PoE or optional power adaptor (not included).
- Remove the camera cover on the Indoor model. Remove the cover and remove the camera from the housing on the outdoor model.
- On the side of the camera module to the left of the SD card slot you will find a small hole with a black button inside.
- Use a pen or a small object to depress and hold the black button (up to 30 seconds) until you see the LAN and PWR lights flash then release the button.
- Once you release the button, give the camera 1-2 minutes to reset and boot up.
Outdoor model:
2 - SOFT RESET
Note: There is an option to retain IP settings when applying a soft reset, but all other configuration settings saved to the camera will be lost
- If you know the IP address of the camera, type that into a browser to view cameras web interface.
- You will be prompted to enter username and password. Default Username is “admin” and password is “admin”.
- Click on ADMIN tab located to the right of the camera page.
- Click on Factory Defaults. Here you will have the option to retain your IP settings. Check the box to retain IP settings or uncheck to reset IP settings. Now click 'Reset to Factory Defaults' to reset the camera.
- Wait 1-2 minutes for camera to reset and boot up
3 - Using the Configuration Tool

If don’t already have the configuration tool installed, click here to download.
- Double click on the Configuration Tool Icon on your desktop to open up. The configuration tool should find and display a list of all Oncam cameras available on that specific network (assuming all cameras are on the same network).
- Locate the camera you want to perform a factory reset on using the camera MAC address or IP address as a guide. Check or tick the box next to the camera.
- Click on the Camera Configuration tab below the list of displayed cameras . Now go to the send command to camera option and click on the drop down to display a list of commands. Select the ‘factoryreset.cgi’ command and click on the Send button.
- Wait 1-2 minutes for camera to reset and boot up
