Evolution Range - How to Change the Camera Admin Password

This article is valid for the Evolution 05, Evolution 05 Mini, Evolution 12 and Evolution 180 Camera Range

For security reasons we strongly recommend changing the camera(s) admin password once it's installed.
Use the following steps to change the camera password:

1. Log into the camera web interface
2. Click on the Admin tab
3. Click the User Management tab
4. Once in the User Management page, select Modify
5. Enter New Password and confirm New Password
6. Click the OK button to save new password

Note: Forgotten passwords cannot be recovered, a factory reset will be required to gain access.

Newer firmware (2.2 and higher) there have been changes to the password requirements.
At initial login you are prompted to register an Admin user & create a password.


Password Requirements:
Minimum of 5 characters (required) and a maximum of 32
It is recommended to create a strong password containing a combination of:

• Uppercase and lowercase characters (e.g., a-z and A-Z)
• Numbers (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
• Special symbol or punctuation characters. The following special characters are supported: (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|(){}[]:;',.?/).
