Note: Internet Explorer 11 and the latest 32-bit version of the VLC player* are required to view live camera images in the browser.
If VLC is not already installed navigate to videolan.org and click the drop down arrow at the end of the download button, Select "Windows" for the 32-bit version.
Firmware version under 2.2.x
Camera IP address is known:
- If you know the IP address of the camera, enter this into the address bar of the web browser
- Enter the Username and password (Default is “admin”)
Camera IP address is not known:
When the IP address of the camera(s) is not know, the Camera Configuration tool can quickly find the IP and MAC address of all Oncam cameras connected to the network
- If not already installed, download and install the latest version of the Oncam Configuration tool. Click here to download.
- Start the Oncam Configuration tool, the software will scan the network and provide a list of all connected Oncam cameras
- Tick the camera to view from the list using it’s MAC address as a guide
- In the browser section, click "View in IE"
- Enter Username and Password
Firmware version 2.2.x & higher:
You will be prompted to add the1st time login and create a user for 1st time access.
Upon initial log in you will see the following screen:

It is important to always set and use a secure password to access the camera:
- Minimum of 5 characters (required) and a maximum of 32
- It is recommended to create a strong password containing a combination of:
- Uppercase and lowercase characters (e.g., a-z and A-Z)
- Numbers (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...)
- Special symbol or punctuation characters. The following special characters are supported: (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|(){}[]:;',.?/).
Once this has been completed you will be prompted to log in again and see the web interface as above.
