How to Perform a Camera Firmware Upgrade/Downgrade
Upgrading/Downgrading the firmware on an Evolution camera is done by using the Oncam Camera Configuration Tool. If you don’t already have the configuration tool installed, click HERE to download
Note: Make sure you've downloaded and saved the firmware file to a location on your PC.
Steps:
1. Double click on the configuration tool icon on your desktop to open. A list of available Oncam cameras will be displayed . Using the camera Type drop down, a specific model can be selected.
2. Locate camera(s) to upgrade using the camera MAC address or IP address as a guide. Check the box next to the camera(s) you wish to upgrade/downgrade.
3. Click the upgrade software tab below the displayed camera list and browse to the saved firmware file.
4. Click upgrade to upgrade your camera(s). You will get a prompt to save your current configuration settings, this is entirely optional. You will be prompted to log in, enter your admin credentials, default for user and password is admin. When the upgrade is complete there is confirmation of either a SUCCESS OR FAILURE. Click OK three times to close the message boxes. Wait 2 - 3 minutes for the camera(s) to fully reboot.
5. Click on the Refresh List Tab to refresh the configuration tool and confirm the cameras new firmware version.
